12/22, The Weekly Driver #11 (Nothing Like A New Caddy)
</title>
-
    <description>
In 2004, Cadillac introduced its first car-based Sport Utility Vehicle
and called it the SRX. Cadillacs have always had great names that
matched the manufacturer's luxury reputation. But what's an SRX? Four
years later, the SRX is still around and it still has an odd name.
Nevertheless, it's been resigned (particularly its interior) and the
2007 model is one of the nicer SUVs around. As such, it's the Featured
Review of this issue.<br/>

<title>12/14, The Weekly Driver #10 (The Rabbit Is Back!)</title>
-
    <description>
Released well into the season, the new 2006 Rabbit has been redesigned
and is slightly larger, heavier and offers more head and foot room than
the Golf. These are nicen editions to the standard Volkswagen
philosophy: Upscale Euro-styled
smaller cars without upscale prices. The new Rabbit succeeds. My weekly
test drive was the four-door hatchback, one of six available
configurations. It has a 151-horsepower, 5-cylinder engine with a
five-speed automatic transmission.

<title>12/7, The Weekly Driver #9 (An Aura Around Saturn)</title>
-
    <description>
Honda, Toyota and Nissan vehicles fill the highways. The mighty
manufacturing trio all make fine cars, and their respective offerings
are hard to beat as America's best-selling midsize cars. Many others
have tried and failed and then tried again to grab a worthwhile market
share. Saturn is among those trying again, and its new Aura is getting
a lot of attention. The surprisingly powerful four-door sedan is unlike
any previous
Saturn. The smart-looking newbie is the featured review of this issue.

<title>11/28, The Weekly Driver #8 (Convertible Bliss)</title>
-
    <description>
Just inside the main entrance to Pebble Beach, Calif., the road makes a
sweeping, downhill, left-hand turn. It's the beginning of a 3 1/2-mile
stretch along the 17-Mile Drive and it's an ideal place to test drive a
car. Abrupt turns and steep, short ascents and descents dominate the
route as it progresses past high-profile, oceanfront homes. I've driven
the route more than 100 times, but it's never been more enjoyable than
during the several recent journeys I made on the circuit en route to
Pebble Beach Golf Links. My weekly driver was the 2006 Honda S2000.

11/18, The Weekly Driver, #7 (The Worst Cars For '06)
</title>
-
    <description>
Welcome to Issue #7 of The Weekly Driver electronic newsletter. The
Weekly Driver has been reviewing cars for about four years, and we've
found something to like in every car we've driven. Some vehicles just
aren't very good, and there have only been a few really memorable
vehicles
&#8212; even cars I'd like to own. But every car has some redeeming
quality, if you look hard enough. TheTruthAboutCars.com likes cars,
too. But it also has disdain for some vehicles, and the web site has no
qualms writing about those included
in its TWAT Awards. The dubious honors, the cars selected as The Worst
Automobiles Today, is the featured article in this issue.

11/10, The Weekly Driver #6 (Auto Oxymoron: Refined Pickup)
</title>
-
    <description>
Welcome to Issue #6 of The Weekly Driver electronic newsletter.When I
was a boy, one of our
neighbors spent countless hours restoring an old Chevy pickup. It was
from the early 1950s, it was cool and I understood why guy drove it
everywhere. But I've never been a pick-up truck kind of guy. I know
pickups are extraordinarily popular, in good part based on the success
of the Ford 150. But I never really thought about owning a pick-up
truck. Yet, after driving the 2007 Ford Explorer Sport
Trac for a week, I've come around. It's a refined, four-door pickup,
and it's about as far from what I remember about my boyhood neighbor's
truck as I could have imagined. The re-designed Sport Trac is this
issue's Featured Vehicle.

11/2, The Weekly Driver #5 (Hardtop Convertible Nirvana)
</title>
-
    <description>
A hardtop convertible seems like an ideal car. Make the right choice
and it will offer the security of a sedan and the sportiness of a
convertible. Volvo recently introduced the C70 T5 and it's the real
deal -- at least that's what many top auto magazines have noted. And
that was my impression, too. The 2006 C70 is the Featured Review of
this issue.

10/25, The Weekly Driver (Mr. Accord Meet Mr. Milan)
</title>
-
    <description>
Welcome to Issue #4 of The Weekly Driver electronic newsletter. Honda
and Toyota dominate the midsize car market, but a few competitors have
emerged in recent years hopin to gain a share of the market. The
Mercury Milan, a 2006 replacement for the Sable, is strong candidate to
not only grab a market share, but it could present a serious challenge
to the Accord and Camry.

10/19, The Weekly Driver, Issue #3 (Mini-Coopers Rule)
</title>
-
    <description>
The Mini-Cooper will soon be approaching its 50th birthday, and for a
vehicle with such a complicated history, it's still going strong. It's
now been back in the United States for five years,
including the past two years with a convertible option. As one of the
smallest cars currently available in this country it's got a lot going
for it.

<title>10/11, The Weekly Driver (Issue #2)</title>
-
    <description>
Welcome to Issue #2 of The Weekly Driver electronic newsletter. The
Honda Fit, the new subcompact introduced as a 2007 model, may be
the best vehicle available in the country for $15,000. Honda doesn't do
much wrong, and with the 10th model in Honda's diverse line it's
getting a good start ahead of the anticipated United States arrival
next year of the Daimler-Chrysler Smart Car. Look for my review of the
2007 Fit as the Featured Review in this issue. I've also added a new
category called Guest Reviews. I'll feature three reviews each issue by
authors contributing to my web site, TheWeeklyDriver.com
